I have used Google Sketch in the past, but know I am trying to get familiar with Solidworks....so much more robust, but a bigger learning curve. But even after the model is made in a 3D program then you need to convert it to CAM then input the info into Mach3.....not a simple process to say the least. And to be honest I am a complete noob, so I am not even sure how to do steps #2 and #3 ....it's going to be a long progress.

It's a membership (month-to-month or yearly or lifetime) shop that has a very impressive selection of tools and machines that you can use (including CNC, laser cutting, sand blasting, powder coating spray booth and oven...essentially everything. They also provide classes.

I live in DC and we are getting a place called TechShop that's suppose to open in the fall. It's not as impressive as MakerPlace, but it's still very nice. TechShop is a chain that has several locations throughout the US.
I did not know that, I will have to check that out.

No kidding, the price of a yearly subscription and I could just about have a CNC of my own.

I am using Blender to do 3D modeling and Animation.

Here is a 240 radgrill Idea I had for a build.

Here is a quick Res idea I was working on.

and Here is some realistic grass I did following a tutorial.
